EPG provided an integrated delivery solution for the Venues & Infrastructure team at London 2012, overseeing infrastructure works across 28 competition venues and 20+ non-competition support venues. EPG played a key role in Overlay & Infrastructure Planning, Project Management, Security Infrastructure, and Venue Management & Operations throughout the Games.

Working alongside LOCOG, EPG coordinated a team of architects, engineers, and construction managers to deliver cost-efficient venues within national legislation, planning permissions, and budget. EPG also delivered innovative overlay solutions for temporary venues like Horse Guards Parade (Beach Volleyball) and Riverbank Arena (Field Hockey).

EPG ensured each sport’s integration with venues met the technical and overlay requirements of their International Federations, managing procurement, construction, installation, removal, and venue reinstatement during the Event Closure phase. EPG also monitored Health & Safety, cost status, and change control throughout the process.

For the organiser, EPG provided a turnkey security infrastructure solution for all London venues outside the Olympic Park, managing the project from scope design to budget and integration with the installation programme. EPG also managed Venue Management roles in the Olympic Park Common Domain, overseeing planning, operations, and safety for over 10 million visitors, and led a cross-functional team of 90 staff to meet LOCOG’s needs.
